Peer Support

Are you actively engaged in a job placement, job retention, or training process and seeking a peer-to-peer exchange with someone who understands your situation and experiences?

With us, you have the opportunity to engage in discussions with a peer counselor, in addition to the support provided by your Job Coach. This offers a unique form of support and guidance where individuals with disabilities or health impairments connect and interact actively. The term “peer” signifies “equal” or “equivalent” and refers to people who share similar experiences. Our peers are experts through their own lived experiences.

Peer counseling can provide support in various areas:

  • During your counseling sessions, our peers will provide you with valuable tips and advice.
  • Our peers will help you clarify your career options by sharing their own experiences and supporting you in making informed decisions.
  • Engaging with someone who has shared similar experiences strengthens your self-confidence and fosters your assurance. This empowers you to believe in your professional goals.
  • During the onboarding process for a new job, our peers can guide you on how to approach the new challenges effectively.
  • In discussions with employers, peers can build bridges and help alleviate any reservations.
  • Our peers assist you in developing concrete solutions to overcome potential barriers in the workplace.
  • Because peers have navigated similar situations, they can understand your concerns and fears, offering support based on their own experiences.

We are offering peer counseling specifically for you as part of our project from 2024-2026. This initiative is supported by peers with diverse disabilities and mental health challenges.

Contact us or your assigned specialist advisor to benefit from our peer counseling services. Our peers are ready to assist you.
