In a free initial consultation, we clarify your needs and define goals together. Profil comprehensive inclusion consulting as well as support for individual cases or specific questions.

Assessment

During the assessment, we work with you to evaluate how inclusive your company's work environment currently is. We utilize the Inclusion-Check as a tool, which was developed by Health & Medical Service AG in collaboration with the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and is provided free of charge with financial support from the EBGB.

We assist you in conducting the survey, analyze the results, and collaboratively plan the next steps with you. This process is ideally complemented by a workshop that includes employee involvement.

Based on this, an action plan tailored specifically to your company will be developed.

The Inclusion Check is now available free of charge in a basic version. More in-depth analyses covering multiple areas can be purchased for a fee.

The consequences of an illness or accident can significantly alter an employee's performance capacity and also affect the entire team.

We assist you in finding effective solutions for:

When employing individuals with disabilities, their performance capacity may sometimes be reduced. In such cases, we advise you on questions concerning performance and salary. Profil specialists Profil provide selective support to HR managers or supervisors in complex issues and the reintegration of employees, and may be able to contribute new perspectives thanks to their knowledge and experience.

Profil individual coaching for managers and HR specialists in relation to employees with disabilities or with a focus on leading inclusive teams.

Job Creation

Through the analysis and redesign of work processes, existing job profiles are optimally adapted to the qualifications of your employees. Simultaneously, new jobs are created, for example, for people with disabilities or health impairments. This allows you to create alternative solutions to address the shortage of skilled workers and utilize the potential of employees with disabilities.

An existing job profile is specifically adapted to the resources and abilities of an applicant with a disability. This can be in terms of content and/or performance or even workload. Profil you in specific cases.

What factors need to be considered when designing a workplace for individuals with an impairment or health disability?

This varies greatly and depends primarily on the impact of the impairment or disability on everyday life. The more flexible and open employers are, the greater the chance of integrating people with disabilities. In specific cases, the experts at Profil provide support. If necessary, we consult other specialized providers and the IV, which covers certain costs for workplace adaptations.

Are you looking to fill a position with a person with a disability? We advise you on the various options and connect you with motivated employees. We assist with workplace setup, clarify any further questions, and provide job coaching to ensure sustainable employment.

Profil free advice and offers various options:

1. Temporary

  • Positions for people with disabilities who wish to enter (or re-enter) the primary labor market. 
  • Temporary assignments (internships/work trials) with the possibility of permanent employment.
  • Often supported by IV/RAV.
  • Receive intensive support from Profil

2. Try & Hire

  • Employees with health impairments can be Profil through the Profil Foundation's personnel leasing service.
  • You can assess whether permanent employment can be realized in the future.
  • Profil employer responsibility during the assignment and takes care of personnel administration.
  • Only actual hours worked and direct costs are charged.
  • A transition to permanent employment is possible at any time without incurring additional costs.

Would you like to train learners with health impairments? Supported Education is a service offered by the Profil Foundation that supports learners with health impairments and relieves the burden on training companies.

Our job coaches support apprentices (and students) throughout their entire training period. This stabilizes the apprenticeship relationship and eases the burden on the training company. After successful completion of their training, the job coaches work with the young professionals to develop a follow-up solution and assist them in transitioning into professional life.

The consequences of an illness or accident can significantly alter an employee's performance capacity and jeopardize their employment. If you wish to commit to the reintegration of your ill or injured employees, we are here to support you:

In close collaboration with you, we develop individual measures for the continued employment of employees with health impairments. We analyze the scope of tasks and the work environment, and provide advice and support for necessary adjustments. We accompany the implementation with targeted job coaching.

If continued employment is no longer possible due to health impairment, we offer assistance with reorientation. We develop proposed solutions and clarify insurance-related and financial questions.

Since March 2022, the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden has been supporting integration workplaces in the primary labor market for people with disabilities. Companies that employ individuals receiving a disability pension can receive financial support for the disability-related assistance and adaptation costs.

Creating an Inclusive Work Environment
6 Helpful Measures
1. Company Leadership
The commitment of company leadership is the primary prerequisite. Leadership serves as a role model and therefore bears the greatest responsibility.
2. Workplace
The workplace should be made accessible without barriers for individuals with impairments or disabilities. Obstacles can particularly arise at the physical and sensory levels.
3. Human Resources Management
Barrier-free human resources management ensures that individuals with impairments or disabilities are not discriminated against during recruitment, and that no disadvantages arise due to work processes and content.
4. Leadership Style
The personal motivation of the leader to promote diversity is essential. For this, leaders require information that fosters understanding of disabilities and positive attitudes towards individuals with disabilities.
5. Team Culture
The team is crucial for the employment of individuals with impairments or disabilities. Team colleagues promote the integration of people with disabilities into the workplace by conveying the company culture and collaborating daily.
6. Networks
Networks help to raise awareness for the inclusion of individuals with impairments or disabilities and to facilitate knowledge transfer. The networking of various individuals at different levels has a beneficial effect.

Research and studies show that companies committed to social values operate more profitably in the long term. Social diversity promotes internal loyalty, reduces employee turnover, and strengthens the employer brand.

The Profil job coach Profil with all parties involved who should be informed about a disability or situation, what information should be shared, and when. Communication varies depending on the impairment or operational situation. It is also possible that the future employee may wish to inform the team herself.

An employee with a disability should not entail any additional financial costs for the employer. Profil the financing of aids, adjustments to the workplace, and financial subsidies. If there are performance limitations or increased care requirements, the salary can be adjusted accordingly. We are happy to offer our personnel leasing services to ease your burden and minimize financial contractual risks.

Our recruitment service is free of charge for employers.

The IV and RAVs offer the opportunity to get to know potential employees free of charge for a certain period through trial work placements and internships. Depending on the situation, the RAVs and IV also finance onboarding or specific courses. Our specialists will clarify the most ideal and effective support with the social insurance providers for all parties involved.

The goal of our support is to ensure the sustainability of the employment relationship. The duration and intensity of our support are always determined in consultation with all parties involved. However, you are welcome to contact us at any time.
