Review of the 2022 Integration Forum in St. Gallen – 2020 Integration Award presented
On March 7, the Forum.Integration event took place in St. Gallen on the topic of “Successful Vocational Integration of People with Disabilities.” After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, it was a successful event that provided valuable insights and interesting information on a timely topic. The event was attended by 150 interested participants, who, prior to the awards ceremony, listened to presentations on services for employers regarding the vocational integration of people with disabilities. Brigitte Lüchinger, President of the Rheintal Employers’ Association, delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by presentations on the Compasso information portal and the resource-oriented integration profile REP. Following this, two employees shared their success stories regarding their work in the primary labor market, both with and without disability benefits.
Since 2016, Forum.Integration in St. Gallen has been awarding the Eastern Switzerland Professional Integration Prize. Due to the coronavirus measures, the 2020 prize could not be presented until the 2022 forum. The prize went to the Schmidheiny carpentry workshop.
