The “Professional Integration Award” recognizes companies in Eastern Switzerland that actively promote the professional integration of people with disabilities. It highlights employers who take responsibility, create opportunities, and are committed to an inclusive primary labor market.

What kinds of companies are we looking for?

We are looking for companies that:

• successfully integrate individuals with disabilities into their operations, and/or
• actively advocate for basic vocational education and training.
• actively advocate for professional integration and implement appropriate measures.

The general conditions:

• The company operates in the primary labor market.
• It has a location in eastern Switzerland.
• The commitment to vocational integration is evident.
• The company is ready to accept the award and be featured in the media, publications, and on social media.

Here's how the application and nomination process works:

Companies can nominate themselves for the award. Professional organizations and social institutions that collaborate with the companies, as well as other third parties, may also nominate companies.

The organizers then hold discussions with the nominated companies. An independent jury composed of representatives from the business community, politics, journalism, and the field of vocational integration selects the winner.
