Review: Integration Forum 2023 St. Gallen

Once again, the Integration Forum in St. Gallen attracted 150 interested participants to the Pfalzkeller with the theme "Work and Mental Health."

Sonja Lüthi, Director of Social Affairs and Security for the City of St. Gallen, opened the event with a welcoming address to those present.
The subsequent presentation by Prof. D. Stephan Alexander Böhm from the University of St. Gallen clearly demonstrated the interplay between mental health and work. The example alone of how quickly a sauna visit can lead to stress if one loses control over opening the door illustrated how rapidly stressors can affect our well-being. He explained how supervisors can manage such stressors and emphasized the importance of involving teams in this process.
Subsequently, using the hypothetical case of "Max," it was shown how the integration of a person with a mental impairment can succeed through the collaboration of a job coach, the disability insurance office, and employers.

During the subsequent networking aperitif, experiences were exchanged and networks expanded.

The next Integration Forum will take place on March 5, 2024.
