Inclusion is not a destination, but a journey. And we are embarking on it together!

The first international conference on 'Inclusive Job Design' was held in Oslo on December 3 and 4, 2025 – a significant milestone for all those engaged with Inclusive Job Design in the primary labor market.

Certified consultants and trainers from the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Norway convened to share experiences, foster mutual learning, and discuss the latest developments.

Under the guidance of Brigitte van Lierop, one of the method's founders, and in collaboration with NHO Work and Inclusion, led by Paal Haavorsen, we had the privilege of being hosted by Blå Kors arbeid og inkludering Oslo – an inspiring location for an inspiring gathering.

The motto: "Work in Progress"
Juliana Schneider from Profil there and reports:
We reflected on where we stand today, presented best practices (including a contribution from Switzerland), and jointly developed visions for how we can further promote inclusion in the labor market. Particularly exciting: the parallels and differences between our European approaches.

My primary takeaway from these two days is this:
We achieve collective growth by actively fostering inclusion.
Furthermore, we are committed to advancing the Inclusive Job Design method to ensure it meets the evolving demands of the future workforce.

A sincere THANK YOU to all participants – and especially to Brigitte van Lierop and Paal Haavorsen for their outstanding organization. 🙌

Here's to robust European collaboration, to mutual learning – and to workplaces where everyone can truly contribute.
