Working with invisible disabilities presents companies with challenges that often come up in job interviews. Keller Fahnen AG has made a conscious decision to create a more inclusive working environment and has successfully integrated Larissa Wyss, who occasionally suffers from seizures, into its purchasing team. The decision was made after comprehensive clarification of all issues with Beda Frey, employment integration consultant at Stiftung Profil, and the disability insurance office of the canton of Solothurn.
Transparent communication within the team regarding how to manage Larissa's limitations was crucial. A brief portrait of Keller Fahnen AG, accompanied by documentary filmmaker Otto C. Honegger, highlights the company's efforts towards inclusion.
Larissa Wyss and Keller Fahnen AG are being honored for their openness and dedication to fostering a more inclusive working environment. Many individuals, like Wyss, encounter the challenge of working with invisible impairments, which frequently results in misunderstandings and significant demands within the professional sphere.
Beyond the portrait of Larissa Wyss, the company has produced three additional films that aim to "make the invisible visible." These films showcase individuals affected by impairments in their workplaces or training environments, offering insights into the challenges that accompany invisible impairments.
The Profil Arbeit & Handicap foundation offers specialist support for companies that want to become more inclusive, as well as for specific cases. Anyone interested can contact us on 058 775 20 20 or at info@profil.ch. Further films on this topic are available here.
